Larger Than Life – Merivale x WorldPride 2023

To mark the historic merger of Mardi Gras and WorldPride 2023, we created a surrealist campaign that celebrated queerness at full volume - a festival of Pride like no other.

The concept, Larger Than Life, captured the amplified energy of the moment: brighter colours, bolder love, and a program of 40+ Merivale events. Each abstract visual artwork paired talent from within the Merivale team with larger-than-life props — a cocktail, disco ball, floaties, cherries - to represent different event types through a surreal and emotionally rich lens.

The campaign honoured Merivale’s queer community from the inside out, casting LGBTQIA+ staff as talent and celebrating them across venues, print, and digital.

Deliverables included a full suite of brand collateral:

• A printed magazine guide for guests
• A custom-designed seaplane in Pride colours
• Wearable accessories for staff
• Event branding and promotion across 40+ Pride events

The result was a visually striking, emotionally driven campaign that turned every event into a statement — and every moment into a celebration.
